It is a web-based client that, once installed on the user’s computer, allows them to search for various types of digital content, which can be purchased and downloaded through the client. Although it was developed by Apple in 2000, the software can be used on PCs and even some mobile devices. Searching for games with iTunes takes a bit of work. Rather than finding a section devoted to computer games on the software’s welcome screen, you must first choose iTunes Store from the left menu bar. Once selected, a list of options appears across the top, including music, movies, TV shows, and App Store. The games are contained within the App store option, and can be accessed from the “Game Center” link under the App Store Quick Links section on the right. After the game center loads, several titles are displayed and can be sorted using the feature in the top right labeled “Sort By” using the Featured, Name, and release date options. The cover art for each title is displayed as a thumbnail, with a brief description of each digital download listed to the right. You will also find an option to buy online using the iTunes client.
