Our Review for Download Game: The Sims Medieval (PC)
Genre: Simulation | Platform: PC
“The Sims Medieval” is another title in Electronic Arts’ international bestseller series: “The Sims”. It was released for the PC on 22 March 2011. The game’s official website is www.ea.com/the-sims-medieval, where you can learn more about the game. “The Sims Medieval” is available via digital download – players can buy and download the game online.
“The Sims” series is basically a simulation. The game lacks any objectives or goals. Instead, players can create and control virtual characters called “Sims”, which can be placed in houses, workshops, markets and offices.
These Sims have specific character traits, desires and mood swings, which affect their daily activities, and their actions. For example, not eating for a long time makes a Sim hungry, and drinking a lot means your Sim has to go to the toilet. Sims of the opposite sex can also interact with each other, which can lead to intimacy, love and relationships.
“The Sims Medieval” is set in medieval times, and allows the player to set up a kingdom from scratch. Sims can be sent on quests, given missions and objectives, which reward the player in the form of “Kingdom Points”. The player must choose a broad goal for their kingdom, such as becoming the “fastest builder” or the “wealthiest kingdom”, and then work to reach that very goal. Different types of Heroes are also available in the game, who can empower the kingdom or complete difficult quests based on their abilities. Monarchs are rulers and diplomats, Knights are warriors and conquerors, Wizards are powerful spell casters, Spies are efficient thieves and special agents, Blacksmiths are skilled craftsmen, and Physicians are healers.
The game has received positive responses from gamers and critics, because of the introduction of an RPG based gameplay. Sims enthusiasts definitely don’t want to miss out on this one!
