Bad Company 2: Vietnam is an expansion pack to EA’s Battlefield: Bad Company 2. It was released in December 2010 via Digital Download.

In Bad Company 2, the story follows a group of soldiers who have been given the task of finding a secret weapon of mass destruction, and to prevent it from falling in the hands of the Russians. BC2: Vietnam takes players back to the Vietnam War era. In the jungles of Vietnam, war rages from treetops to fox holes, and from small rooms to open environments.

Even the game’s soundtrack includes music from the Vietnam War era. The expansion adds new weapons, maps and vehicles to the original game.

The multiplayer of the game is the most engrossing part, keeping alive the true spirit of battlefield. With many different game modes such as conquest, assault and head-on, Battlefield offers one of the best multiplayer experiences ever. Players can choose from four different classes such as Recon, Assault, Engineer and Support. The main aim of the game is to reduce the enemy reinforcements to zero. This can be done by killing enemies, or by capturing control points located all over the map (which causes enemy reinforcements to reduce automatically). As the player kills enemies and raises his score by capturing or neutralising enemy control points, he or she can advance in rank and gain access to better and more efficient weaponry and equipment.

Most of the game mechanics and AI is same as that in Bad Company 2. However, BC2: Vietnam is much more than an expansion pack. It adds a new gaming experience altogether. Vietnam has been given outstanding ratings on many game review websites such as IGN and Gamespot.
