Covers, walls and buildings are no longer indestructible, and collapse after taking large damage. This new addition allows greater realism in combat.

The developers have released several downloadable upgrades for this game, which include new maps, weapons, and equipment and game modes. An expansion pack “Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam” was released in December 2010.
