After tipping our toes in the water for a few weeks, we think it’s about time we told you a bit about our site and why we started it.
We – Marie (PR/Marketing), Sebastian (Concept/Marketing), Michael I (Project Management) and Michael II (Tech) – are a couple of
passionate gamers who are always on the lookout for the hottest games on the web. We play and collect games on all platforms and formats. And we’re all digital fanboys: R.I.P. scratched DVDs, shipping costs and NoCD-fixes.
Times for digital junkies have never been better. During the last few months we’ve seen the rise of numerous digital distribution platforms that offer a huge selection of downloadable games that are instantly available from anywhere at anytime. We also see a lot of indie titles with great game-play that never would have made it into the typical box shelf. On top of that there are crazy weekly, daily and even hourly deals and bargains to miss. We quickly became addicted to this new form of deal hunting. However, surfing all these different online stores soon became strenuous, so we came up with the idea for Spawnix, where we collect all deals in one place. We started small and focused on just one niche: legal, downloadable PC and Mac games. In the future, we might add more platforms, and even deals for other digital content.
Why are we doing this? Because, as avid gamers, we want to see this market grow. We want more online shops with more great games and even better prices and bargains. In short: more games for less money. And because we like to share our passion!
